Austin Children’s Shelter protects and heals children, young adults and families in need. Since 1984, the Austin Children's Shelter has provided emergency shelter and high quality care for abused and neglected children. Now with expanded programming offering long-term care and transitional living services, ACS can have a sustaining, positive effect on young lives. The Shelter provides a variety of critical services and programs to lay a foundation of hope for the future of children, teens and young adults in need of a safe haven as well as services for families.
Each child is assessed to ensure they receive the services they need, including: medical and dental care, group and individual therapy, formal testing and evaluation as well as full assessments. Through these programs, ACS lays a foundation of hope for the future of the children in its care.
